Since graduating from the Academy of Art University in San Francisco, I have been putting my illustration training to work as an apparel graphic designer. The title has always felt a bit odd, but after getting to come home from my first day at Gymboree and tell my partner, "I got paid to draw dinosaurs all day!", it is difficult to imagine doing anything other than making art for a living. How can you beat a profession that pays you to make killer art and continuously hone your craft?

 

It's a very cool added bonus to get to see people wearing your designs on their tees out in the world.

My showcased work is from a career on the Boy's Team at the children's clothing company, Gymboree, and the Men's Graphics Tops team at Levi Strauss and Co. At both companies, I contributed in making top selling graphics each season; a fact I am very proud of.
